About Laurel Blatchford

Laurel Blatchford serves as the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Chief Implementation Officer for Inflation Reduction Act Implementation. She is responsible for helping ensure the IRA’s implementation delivers on the law’s promise to both drive historic investments in the clean energy economy and modernize the IRS to better serve the American people. She has held numerous senior positions in the government and non-profit sector, including as President of Enterprise Community Partners (2014-2020), and as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) during the Obama Administration (2009-2013) and as executive director of the Hurricane Sandy Task Force (2013). Laurel also served in the administration of New York City Mayor Michael R Bloomberg. She is the founder of Uplook Advisors, a strategy consulting firm and has served on numerous boards and served on the Biden-Harris Transition Team as a member of the HUD/FHFA Agency Review Team. She and her family live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC.
