Jose Lopez

Jose Lopez serves as Assistant Director for the Business Applications Services branch for Information Technology Department at Miami-Dade County, one of the largest metropolitan county government in the United States. He leads a branch that supports core county operations along with enterprise-wide geospatial technology services. For thirty-years he has led various multi-dimensional teams highly skilled in technology, business strategy and digital innovation to deliver award-winning solutions; saving millions for County government. Leveraging technologies, understanding business processes, and building relationships has been the key to a successful thirty-five year career in Information Technology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Miami. He embraces a healthy work-life balance and understands the benefits of the “work hard, play hard” lifestyle approach.
