About Hon. Christine 'Chris' Walker

Chris Walker was appointed Jackson County Clerk in 2008 and has served as the county's elected County Clerk since November of 2008. Chris has over 27 years practical experience in both the elections and recording programs, bringing an exuberant approach to the citizens of Jackson County by combining knowledge, enthusiasm, energy, and positive spirit to the courthouse environment. Chris, born and raised in Southern Oregon, graduated from Phoenix High School in 1984, serving as her Senior Class President. “As a lifelong valley resident, I am proud of my family history. Service to the people of Jackson County has been an honorable family tradition, one that I am blessed and grateful for”.

Chris is active in many professional and non-profit organizations including Oregon Association of County Clerk’s (OACC), Past-President 2018; International Association of Government Officials (IGO), Past President 2018-19, Recording Education Division Director (2022); Property Records Industry Association (PRIA), Past Government Sector Board Member; DHS/CISA Government Facilities, Election Infrastructure Subsector, Government Coordinating Council Member; U.S. Elections Assistance Commission (EAC), Board of Advisors 2022; Government Blockchain Association (GBA), Member; Election Verification Network (EVN), Member; NACO Finance, Pensions & Intergovernmental Affairs Steering Committee, Member; Children’s Advocacy Center Board Member; Holly Theatre Restoration Committee Member.
