Dorcas Young Griffin

Dorcas Young Griffin started her career with Shelby County Government in 2007, serving in several capacities including of Public Health Coordinator, Ryan White HIV Program Manager and Deputy Director of Division of Community Services. She has served as the Director of the Division of Community Services since January 2018. She has oversight of a division with an annual budget of over $100 million and 250 employees providing various human and social services to Shelby County residents, including comprehensive behavioral health programming both within the local jails and through community partners. Most recently in her tenure, she has been a champion and active partner with a local partner to ensure maximum local oversight of 988 implementation in Shelby County, Tennessee.
