Christopher Coes

Christopher Coes serves as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy. Mr. Coes previously served as Vice President for Land Use and Development at Smart Growth America, as a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institute, Professor at George Washington University and Deputy Director and Senior Advisor for the Transportation for America campaign. He is a native of Thomasville, Georgia and a graduate of St. John’s University, where he received a bachelors and masters of arts in government and politics, specializing in public administration.
