About Budge Currier

Since 2011 Budge has served with the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). In his current role, Budge is responsible for the statewide public safety radio systems and microwave network that support state agencies, the 9-1-1 system that supports 438 Public Safety Answering Points with over 27 million 9-1-1 calls per year, and the Emergency Communications Division. Budge also serves as the California Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC). Budge has over 30 years of communication’s experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Michigan and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.  Budge is a member of NENA, APCO, and NCSWIC. Budge also serves as the President of the National Association of State 9-1-1 Administrators (NASNA).
