About Alex Herrgott
Alex Herrgott is the President and CEO of the Permitting Institute, which serves as a central resource and leading advocate for accelerating investment in rebuilding, expanding and modernizing America's aging infrastructure, while preserving its environmental, cultural, and historic resources. Mr. Herrgott previously served as Executive Director of the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council from 2018 to 2021, and before that as the Associate Director for Infrastructure for the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) at the White House. He also was a senior staff member for Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) at the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
