Join NACo and The Pew Charitable Trusts for the final in our series on Evidence-Based Policymaking titled Rigorous Evidence 101 & Research Clearinghouses. Staff from the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative (Results First) will provide a brief overview of different types of evidence, explain what constitutes rigorous evidence and discuss how to find it by accessing research clearinghouses. Results First will also give a live demo of its Clearinghouse Database—an online resource that brings together information on the effectiveness of social policy programs from nine national clearinghouses—that will highlight its key features and provide tips for searching for programs. A county official will also discuss how she has used the Clearinghouse Database to enhance her work.
