NACo on the Move

  • NACo President Riki Hokama and Emilia Istrate, NACo research and outreach director, spoke about NACo and the results of NACo’s latest research project, Over view of County Admin­istration, at the New Mexico Association of Counties Annual Conference in Bernalillo County (Albuquerque) June 18.
  • Istrate also traveled to the Hawaii State Association of Counties Annual Conference in Maui, June 24–26,where she spoke about the economic recovery across counties and county efforts in economic development.
  • Matt Chase, NACo executive director, spoke at the Florida Associa­tion of Counties Annual Conference June 18 in St. Johns County (Ponte Vedra Beach).
  • Charlie Ban, County News senior writer, and Yejin Jang, associate legislative director, represented NACo at the grand opening of the Guilford County, N.C. Family Justice Center, June 15.  Daria Daniel, associate legis­lative director, briefed the Minority Caucus meeting June 16 about NACo membership and legisla­tive issues during the Mississippi Association of Supervisors Annual Convention in Harrison County (Biloxi).
