    Owen Hart

    Owen is NACo's legislative associate for agriculture & rural affairs, public lands, and the western interstate region. He serves as the staff liaison to the Agriculture & Rural Affairs (AgRA) Steering Committee. His responsibilities include advocating for county priorities in the agriculture and rural development policy spaces, analyzing legislation and regulatory activities and planning and executing NACo conferences and events.

    Before joining NACo, Owen worked as a research assistant at the Center for Effective Lawmaking and held internships at the Niskanen Center, Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and the UCLA Center for Middle East Development. Owen holds an MPP from the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy and a BA in International Development Studies and Geography from UCLA.
