Danny Melgoza

Danny Melgoza serves as NACo's Chief Operating Officer, managing the operations and finance of the organization while also overseeing the association’s strategic objectives and key results.  Danny also focuses on building a thriving culture by translating NACo’s values into ONE NACo behaviors for optimal performance and wellbeing.

Prior to joining NACo, Danny served 14 years in public policy and management positions in San Diego County, Calif., including most recently as Chief of Staff to County Supervisor Greg Cox. Danny’s professional background includes a blend of both private and public sector experience working at IBM, Xerox Corporation, ALDI Foods and the City of Seattle.  Originally from Kansas City, Mo., Danny and his wife Monica live in Washington, D.C. with their two young children.
