Brett Mattson

Legislative Associate

Brett joined NACo in May of 2018 and serves as a Legislative Associate. He assists on legislative research, writing and federal advocacy on issues related to Justice & Public Safety, Finance, Pensions and Intergovernmental Affairs, as well as providing legislative support for the Legislative Director. Previously, he served as a Legislative Intern for NACo.

Brett graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in May of 2018 with a B.S. in Political Science and minors in International Affairs and Economics. Prior to joining NACo, Brett served as a research intern for the Southeast Nebraska Development District, as well as interning in the Nebraska State Legislature for Sen. Patty Pansing Brooks.
