Year: 2014

The District Attorney’s Family Justice Center Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) came together as a full-scale program in 2012. YEP offers a safe, violence free and nurturing environment for children of all ages in Alameda County who are victims of interpersonal violence, or whose parents/guardians are victims of interpersonal violence. YEP consists of four distinct but integrated program components: (1) KidZone, (2) Homework Help, (3) P.U.L.S.E. (Pop-Up Library Services for Everyone) and “Love to Read”, and (4) Camp Hope. Children coming to the Family Justice Center to obtain services for themselves or with a parent/guardian are eligible for services provided by YEP.
