Year: 2019

One of the goals of the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board (WDB) has been to find ways to implement new processes that will help our customers be more successful. Consequently, charged with addressing major workforce issues in the County, WDB engaged other community leaders to identify and build these competitive advantages throughout the County. As a result, a collaboration effort was made to form one Workforce System in San Bernardino County under one of 29 current partners representing workforce programs. This Workforce System, called The “AJCC System” was designed to integrate service providers to align with the common passion of bringing their collective client base the means to improve their health and financial well-being through career services and employment. Thus, ultimately ensuring the residents of San Bernardino County have the available services to improve their skills, obtain an education, and have the means to seek employment in order to achieve their career goals. Therefore, the objective of developing a Desk Reference Guide and Referral Program is to strengthen the AJCC System Staff’s knowledge of the MOU Partners, and at the same time provide customers the proper referrals so they can receive the appropriate services to increase their chances to overcome challenges and barriers in order to reach self-sufficiency.
