The Hennepin County Website Redesign program transformed Hennepin County’s web presence into a primary means for conducting service delivery transactions. In other words, to refocus all of the county’s web presence to work the way our residents think, not the way the county thinks, and to provide a website where people can easily search and find what they need. Rather than being immersed in broad content that is not pertinent to them, residents see content that helps them complete tasks efficiently, without having to understand how the county is organized; and where more county service transactions can be completed online through any device. This project redesigned the user interface for Hennepin.US and made it accessible from any mobile device (e.g., laptops, androids, tablets, and smartphones). Improvements included enhancements to the look and feel of the interface, better usability, searching, and accessibility. The redesign has also accommodated the integration of legacy content, and new content acquired since the last design. This project had four components. 1. Redesign the Hennepin.us site home page 2. Improved Search capabilities 3. Develop analytics 4. Design and build a prototype in preparation for the new content management system
