The Vital Statistics Registration Office (VSRO) is responsible for registering all births and deaths and issuing burial permits in San Bernardino County. The general public who reside in San Bernardino County, may visit the VSRO office to obtain birth, death, burial permits and amendments. The VSRO office will hold the record for 24 months, all records older than 24 months must be purchased at the San Bernardino County Recorder’s Office. It is the responsibility of the San Bernardino VSRO office to ensure all electronically recorded and stored certificates, are properly communicated and delivered to the San Bernardino County Recorder’s Office.
