The Vintage Kendall Senior Housing Project is collaborative effort between the County of San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health (DBH), its Full Service Partnership (FSP) Agewise Supportive Services (AWSS) and USA Properties Fund Inc. (a developer and property management team) to provide permanent supportive housing. On January 29, 2013 a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was approved by the County of San Bernardino Board of Supervisors for a housing collaboration to implement permanent supportive housing for individuals with serious mental illness, who are homeless or at significant risk of becoming homeless. This agreement is an expression of this collective interest to plan and create housing that can help end and prevent homelessness for homeless people with psychiatric disabilities and who are eligible for such housing under the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).The Vintage Kendall Senior Housing Project is a 178 unit affordable senior housing development consisting of 104 (1 bedroom units), 74 (2 bedroom units) and 2 manager units. The developer will be targeting 20 of the 1 bedroom units for occupancy by MHSA eligible older adults. The remainder of the units will be made available to low and very-low income senior tenants 55+ years of age.
