The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management offers a Toilet Retrofit Rebate Program to active DeKalb County water customers whose homes were built prior to 1993. This program assists customers in replacing their old toilets with efficient water-conserving toilets to conserve water and money. Since the program began, at least 17,472 toilets have been replaced in DeKalb County, approximately $1,451,232 in rebates has been disbursed, and nearly 19 million gallons of water is conserved each month because of toilets replaced throughout the county.
