Teen Works is a dynamic youth development program that serves to lessen the disconnection of Montgomery County youth from their school and potential employment opportunities. Teen Works provides job readiness skill training through mentoring and real world work experiences. The program provides job immersion in general landscaping, maintenance skills, support to county departments and non-profit jobs throughout the county. Additionally, the program provides leadership training workshops in financial literacy, job etiquette, teamwork and communication leadership for at risk youth ages 16 to 19 years old. The program serves youth that are identified to be at risk of becoming involved in life altering negative choices such as gang participation and dropping out of school.
