The Public Safety Architecture Modernization program was an unprecedented collaboration of six public safety and law enforcement agencies in the County to achieve seamless interoperability and use of the same enterprise technology platforms for like and unique operational requirements, enhanced coordination for emergency event response, and collaborative use of data for decision-making across functions. A governance board between these agencies, named the Public Safety Information Technology Governance Board (PSITGB), was charged with providing strategic and policy direction for the related project and continues to seek new opportunities and strategy in leveraging investments, use of shared systems, and integrated processes for enhanced response and furtherance of its goals for interoperability. The PSITGB established the project charter and a steering committee to manage the Public Safety Architecture Modernization project plan and technical and functional implementation.
