In the County of Los Angeles, there are more than 400,000 veterans living in our communities. System Navigators for Veterans (Navigators) is a project that uses military veterans to identify and engage returning combat veterans and their families with special needs linking them to mental health services, including support services tailored to the specific culture, ethnicity, age, and gender. The Navigators follow-up with veterans and their families ensuring they are successfully linked to mental health services and receiving the necessary services they need.
