The Online Hazardous Waste Portal gives customers of our hazardous waste database electronic access to the full suite of documents and forms they need to apply for a license, pay their fees, renew or modify their license, and even print a copy of their current license. Hennepin County currently licenses 5,000 hazardous waste generators, with over half of those generators subject to annual reporting of their hazardous waste activities. This project improves generator access to current information related to their hazardous waste licensing. The information that must be reported to Hennepin County for initial licensing, license renewal and/or license modification can be submitted electronically, eliminating the need for department staff to transcribe data from hardcopy forms into the existing database.
