During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gwinnett County, Georgia, turned to its in-house Department of Information Technology Services to develop online systems for various reports and payments related to occupation taxes and alcohol licensing. By reducing hands-on staff involvement and eliminating office visits and mail-in forms, the new systems made compliance faster, easier, and more accurate for local businesses while promoting safe, social distancing.
