The County of San Diego is committed to the health and wellness of its employees. The County of San Diego’s Employee Wellness Program is a model program that supports the organization’s strategic initiatives of healthy families and safe communities. To best support these initiatives, the Employee Wellness program serves to effectively address and improve the health and well-being of the County of San Diego employee workforce through continued engagement, education and intervention programs. In 2013, the County of San Diego implemented One-on-One Health Coaching. This program is part of the Employee Wellness Program that allows an employee to sign up for three free 30-minute sessions with a health educator from our medical providers for in-depth wellness coaching. During these sessions, the employee meets with the health educator to identify areas of concern related to health and develop strategies to improve in these areas.
