COVID-19 required all county programs to adapt to a new way of offering services. When Washington County Parks lost the ability to offer traditional active programs in the parks, the staff adapted by offering a passive way to enjoy the parks through Nature’s Art Gallery. It was a simple, yet innovative, way in which to introduce more residents to the parks, and increase their appreciation for the nature that is abundant in Washington County. At the same time, it provided an additional activity to be active outdoors, and expand appropriate activities during the pandemic.
