Every January for the past four years, Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL), MD, organizes MoComCon - a comic and fandom convention for adults, teens and children of all ages. With the goal of accessibility in mind, MoComCon culminates at the Silver Spring Library located in the heart of Montgomery County, with more than 20 lead-up events across the county’s 21 MCPL branches. The event provides free access to authors, illustrators, cosplay groups, gaming technology, crafts and games, as well as local comic book stores and fandom groups. MoComCon is a place where customers can express themselves and share common interests in a safe and friendly environment.
