Mecklenburg County, North Carolina will be one of the fastest growing urban areas in the country over the next 15 years. The Mecklenburg Livable Communities Plan is a collaborative effort between local government, businesses, and non-profits to collaboratively engage in measureable solutions toward the unified vision for our growing community. More than 2,000 residents and 50 organizations created strategies, actions, and success measures describing a collective vision of the future. Organized around seven guiding principles, the plan creates a network of public and private community partners to establish immediate and measurable actions. The Mecklenburg Livable Communities Plan's collaborative process will improve the quality of life for the entire Mecklenburg community.
