The Register of Deeds provides free access of its database to the Health Department. This allows the Health Department to get timely data regarding sales and follow up to ensure that all properties with a septic system or well are evaluated. This is required by law and the Health Department is responsible for enforcing this. The Register of Deeds shares its information to help the Health Department save time trying to find what is needed to carry out their duties.
