INVEST is a collaboration between Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS), Probation and the Department of Health Service's Office of Diversion (ODR) to provide individuals on LA County Adult Probation with comprehensive, wrap-around supports that assists them into career path employment that leads to a family sustaining wage. The model features co-case-management of Probationers by Americas Job Center of California (AJCC) staff and Deputy Probation Officers who have been trained together by the National Institute of Corrections to employ best practices in career coaching and development. Program participants are engaged an array of employment services tailored to their individual needs that can include career planning, transitional subsidized employment, on-the-job training, job shadowing, vocational training, continued education, assistance into career path employment, and employment retention supports.
