Category: County Resiliency (Best in Category)

Year: 2010

The Green Team Program is meant to improve the County’s energy management practices while reducing both energy consumption and utility costs across all County facilities. The Green Team meets monthly to evaluate methods and technologies to reduce energy consumption across the County’s 95 departments, divisions, and units. The Team’s evaluation methods include vendor demonstrations, product testing, and visits to sites using state-of-the-art products. Significant energy consumption reductions and cost savings were achieved in 2009 due to the Green Team’s efforts.
