Nevada County has implemented a Human Resources Dashboard reporting application that offers display of detailed Human Resources information using a browser interface. There was a need to provide Human Resource information to department heads, mangers, and the CEO to improve their internal processes, decision making, and statistical reporting. This project was implemented to create a web-based database-driven portal to give their department heads and eventually front line managers easy access to County Human Resource information. This information has provided a view to their data that shows trends, alerts, status, and provides overall easy access to the complex data in the Human Resources application that was not available with their core HR system. These dashboards use the latest technologies to pull data from multiple tables in three different systems and provide a graphical and tabular easy to read view for the users. The users are able to determine areas that need improvement and areas in which management is doing well. The dashboards provide new views to the data in a comprehensive format that was not possible before. The data is used to improve management practices, improve employee satisfaction and increase overall performance in the organization.
