The Henefer Book Locker is the only library resource for residents of the ruraltown of Henefer in Summit County, Utah. Since the project’s unveiling in September2018, the book locker has provided increased access to literary experiences for thetown’s residents. Participation in the program has grown 73% since its first operationalyear of 2018 - 19. In 2020, the book locker had a record-breaking 1,268 checkoutsdespite being closed in April due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Oncereopened, the book locker continued to be a valuable service for residents of Heneferthroughout the pandemic. The locker is within walking or biking distance for most townresidents.
