Forsyth CARES is a program which allows citizens to voluntarily provide information related to themselves or a family member who may have special needs or circumstances of which emergency services personnel/first responders should be aware. Cognitive conditions, visual or hearing impairment, health conditions, medications, and emergency contacts are just some of the vital information citizens can provide to assist Fire, Law, and EMS in an emergency. Once submitted, the data is made available to the multiple 911 communications centers across Forsyth County and first responders, as needed, using various GIS software, tools, and techniques.
