The Clackamas County Film and Media Production Program is an initiative under Business and Economic Development created to advance jobs and increase business opportunities in the creative class, film, and media industries. Film and Media Production was identified as an emerging cluster in the 2012 Clackamas County Economic Landscape Study. Generating 4,791 direct jobs and $212M in GDP the film and media production cluster is an important component of the Clackamas County economy and responsible for bringing in $91 million in trade from outside the nine-county Portland-Vancouver region. Its vitality is measured by direct economic impacts, secondary benefits, and strategic market opportunities. Additionally, film and media generates business for professional and service industries, and promotes unique career-level employment opportunities.
