Family Reunification Day honors and celebrates families who have successfully reunified after the children were removed and placed in foster care. Families are able to invite guests, particularly those who have supported them through this difficult journey. These families and their guests enjoy lunch and a commemorative presentation. Families also get the opportunity to share and listen to one another’s successes and difficulties, congratulate and encourage one another, pose for a family picture, enjoy games, entertainment and other activities to celebrate their success. Dignitaries speak with the families and encourage them to be examples to other families who experience the same plight.
