In early 2016, the Fairness for Families video was published by the Eliminating Disparity and Disproportionality Advisory Group, headed by the County of Orange Social Services Agency, in an effort to raise awareness among service providers and community partners on the inequitable representation of children of color in the foster care system in Orange County. The nine minute video provides education on the importance of examining issues of racial disparity in Orange County, highlights the importance of the Advisory Group in addressing these issues, and provides child welfare professionals with a heightened awareness for working with families of color through the foster care system.
