Established by the Department of Regional Parks, Environmental Science Day Camp is a 6-hour program rooted in the study of ecology and cultural history. Designed for 4th and 5th graders, the camp aims to stimulate student interest in environmental science, the applications of scientific principles and techniques, and the outdoors. In addition to encouraging physical activity, the program seeks to give kids a better understanding about how to conserve natural resources, how plants and trees help provide clean air, and the role living things play in protecting the environment.
