About the Program

Category: Information Technology (Best in Category)

Year: 2018

Residents that interact with the County commonly require services from many business areas (justice, health, and social services) and many different departments. Many of the most complex problems facing the County involve clients that use many different County services. These problems have been identified as Board Priorities, including homelessness, child protection, health delivery, and sustainability. Addressing these issues requires understanding patterns of utilization, and enabling the coordination of services across multiple County departments and programs. The County’s Enterprise Information Management Program initiated the deployment of an Information Hub in July 2015. The Information Hub is a countywide platform to identify common clients, securely exchange information about those clients between County systems, and support advanced analysis to optimize service delivery in support of the Board’s Priorities. All components of the Information Hub were operational by January 2018.
