Cabarrus County was awarded more than $6.5 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury to help local households that were unable to pay rent and/or utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds were received to help renter households that have a household income that does not exceed 80% of the area’s median income. While this was an incredible award, it led to the need for an entirely new, custom web application in order to process the applicants. Cabarrus County’s Development Team put together an incredible product in a very short amount of time. The product consisted of a custom web application, multiple Laserfiche Workflows handling all backend logistics, a multi-step Laserfiche Form, and a CSV export formatted and ready to import straight into the County’s financial system. The finished product contains extensive error handling and is working seamlessly.
