The Elevate Program is an innovative three component capacity building training developed by the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health, Office of Prevention and Early Intervention. The purpose is to increase the readiness of diverse nonprofit organizations to implement and support Prevention and Early Intervention projects and networks that contribute to community wellnessThe ABC Workshop is an introductory course for current and potential nonprofit agencies, faith based groups and community organizations. Instruction on the basics of nonprofit development is provided and may include basic grant writing, legal aspects of forming an organization and the roles and responsibilities of organizational members.The Aspire Academy provides training to emerging agencies via a wide range of elements including developing program budgets, strategic planning, fiscal accountability, and recruiting, training and maintaining effective board of directors. The six month course meets once a month and culminates in a community celebrated graduation.Prime Time allows for advanced agencies, organizations and Aspire graduates to receive detailed one-on-one coaching, to participate in specific projects designed to create collaborative partnerships providing opportunities for one-on-one question and answer sessions with successful organizations’ directors, CEOs and CFOs. Fifteen nonprofits graduated from the Aspire Academy; two received private funding.
