Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services implemented a mobile Electronic Patient Care Reporting System (ePCR) which replaced the paper version of Maryland Ambulance Incident System. This electronic system provides many advantages over the previous implementation. These advantages include improvement in the following areas: accountability, timeliness, reliability of patient care data, quality assurance and improvement, administrative reporting to improve operational effectiveness, legibility of reports for hospital and records management requesting agencies, and completeness and accuracy of patient records.
