When Alameda County conducts an election, it engages more than 800,000 registered voters, certifies over 250 candidates, and hires over 5,000 temporary employees. To help achieve this goal, Alameda County developed a suite of four mobile web apps that provide instant, up-to-date, critical information to aid voters, candidates, and election workers. 1. Alameda County District Lookup allows any resident to know what elected districts they are in, and displays any changes as a result of redistricting. 2. My Voter Profile provides a one-stop way for voters to find their specific voter information including registration status, what their electing districts are, polling location with maps, sample ballot, and vote by mail ballot status. 3. My Candidate Profile aids candidates for office by providing a complete list of the filing requirements for their office, and displays the status for each item required of them. 4. My Poll Worker Profile gives each poll worker specific data on their polling location, contact information for their support team, and allows them to view and update their scheduled training and supply pickup. Using these apps has greatly reduced the calls from the public and poll workers, and has enabled candidates to complete filing requirements timely.
