The Dinwiddie Sports Complex is a thirty-six (36) acre park located in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. The sports complex consists of three (3) NCAA/high school championship level softball fields, one (1) full sized baseball field, and separate football and soccer stadiums. All the fields are made of natural Bermuda grass turf, fully irrigated, and are equipped with state-of-art lighting from Musco Lighting Systems. As youth recreational activities grew at a rapid pace in Dinwiddie County, so did the need for a sports facility that could accommodate growing participation in athletics. The Dinwiddie Sports Complex was built to address these needs. In a short time, the complex has become the host site for NCAA baseball and soccer contests, local youth league baseball, football, soccer and softball play, and the game site of the middle school’s baseball and softball programs.Since it’s opening, the complex has seen more than 50,000 visitors from around the region, has hosted over 1,200 team practices and games, generated more the $100,000 in sales in the department-run concession stand, and created additional jobs in the County. The complex continues to flourish, and provides the residents of the county something to be proud about.
