In an effort to increase customer service, improve public relations, and invest in our future the Department of Public Works implemented the Community Outreach Program. The overall program is designed to help the community gain a better understanding of what the Department does and how it affects them. The Community Outreach Program has three main elements: Community Workshops, Educational Outreach, and Public Outreach. The Community Workshops are held for specific projects and programs. The Educational Outreach consists of various events involving schools, scouts, and youth clubs. The Public Outreach consists of major public events and other informational outreach for events such as Public Works Week, Bring Your Child to Work Day, and others.
