About the Program
Category: Volunteers (Best in Category)
Year: 2022
The Volunteer Management Program was established to streamline the coordination of volunteers that assisted in supporting Public Health services during the COVID-19 response. From October 2020 through May 2021, volunteers, primarily nursing students from local colleges and universities, were deployed to COVID-19 testing sites, flu clinics, and COVID-19 vaccination sites. These volunteers helped to address staffing needs to ensure communities in San Bernardino County received vital public health services.
