COVID-19 School Vaccination Events
-
Achievement Award ProgramThe School Vaccination Initiative, led by the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health (SBCDPH), aimed to ensure that all school-aged children and their families had access to life-saving COVID-19 vaccination services. This was achieved by partnering with school districts in San Bernardino County to hold vaccination events at schools. School districts were eager to collaborate on this initiative, especially as different age groups become eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. These partnerships offered families the opportunity to access vital vaccination resources closer to home, within their school districts, and at a location that they trusted. Since the launch of this initiative, the County has collaborated with 83 school partners and successfully conducted a total of 280 vaccination events. Through this initiative, 17,703 COVID-19 doses were administered. County San Bernardino County, Calif.
