The regional Conservation Pays Program was launched under the aegis of the Broward Water Partnership, a collaborative effort between Broward County and 17 municipal and water service providers. The goals of the Program are to achieve a prominent ethic of water conservation throughout the community, and measurable water savings through individual and commercial participation in a rebate and incentives program. Delivery of the program on a regional basis serves to maximize program benefits through broad and uniform messaging and the efficient leveraging of funds in all program expenditures. Partners have committed cost share funds to support a prominent media campaign, program administration, and the cost of toilet rebates and water-saving fixtures. Program costs are scaled to suit each cost share partnerâs needs and the partners only pay only for the rebates and incentives distributed within their respective service areas. The program delivers comprehensive and uniform water conservation messaging through program branding (Conservation Pays), media messaging, and diverse communication tools. The Conservationpays.com website provides residents and businesses with information regarding eligibility for rebates and incentives, integrates a water use calculator, and allows visitors to take a pledge to conserve water and tell their conservation success stories.
