The Center for Strategic Partnerships (the Center) is a first-of-its kind venture in Los Angeles County that sits at the intersection of the County and philanthropy designed to support collaborations between these two sectors. Leaders in each sector are committed to improving lives of Los Angeles County residents through systems, policy, and practice innovations. They created this Center as a mechanism to help them better partner with each other knowing that each adds value to the success of the other. The Center act as a translator helping to span the different cultures of each sector, demystifying each to the other and developing a common language. It does this through supporting cross-sector initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration, and continuously learning and growing. It co-creates transformative partnerships that reflect the highest priorities of systems change for our County and philanthropy with a focus on children, youth and families using an equity lens to guide its work.
