This program involved the production of a bicycle map for Clackamas County, Oregon. The Bike It! Map is a full-size color, water-resistant map that displays the entire county on one side and 10 recreational routes and an urban area in-set on the other side. The bike map provides information about the best routes for cyclists to use for commuting to work, local trips, and recreational use. By increasing knowledge about the suitability of various bike routes and the location of bike lanes and trails throughout the county, residents and visitors to the region will be encouraged to use the bicycle as an alternative mode of transportation. Bike It! Map highlights include location of bike lanes, multi-use paths, four color categories for shared roadways based on suitability for cycling, biking safety tips, and resources for cyclists including information on taking bikes on public transportation. The bike map also highlights mountain bike trails and 10 recreational bike rides in the county.
