The Baldwin County government has put significant time and effort into developing the Baldwin County Regional Airport (BCRA) to benefit the entire community and economy alike. The airport supports economic development, educational opportunities, recreation, tourism, and aviation advancement. With a continual goal to be a leader among airports in rural communities, the BCRA desires to be a forward-thinking entity, providing outstanding Fixed Based Operator (FBO) services in a safe environment while supporting aviation organizations. The airport is modeling advancements in the aviation environment and is a site for local aviation community activities, training, and education through the new Center for Aviation Promotion and Flight Instruction (CAPFI).Through the airportâs West Apron Project, the BCRA has continued to develop as an economic generator for Baldwin County, as it is an attractive feature to investors and providesincome for the county. The airport is vital for economic development, as businesses pass through the airport for research in scouting new locations for business and factories. The airport serves as a travel hub for universities, colleges, and schools, in addition to supporting charter service. The BCRA is strategic resource for medical support, natural disaster support, drug enforcement and the agriculture industry as well.
